- Big salute to our 2nd-generation DC-10 Flying Eye Hospital! By the early 1990s, it became clear we needed a larger plane to keep up with our sight-saving activities. Enter the McDonnell Douglas DC-10. After serving with a handful of airlines, it was acquired by Orbis in 1991.
