We remember the sacrifice of Sgt. Jack Gilbert, who was killed after he was hit by enemy shell fire February 16, 1944 - 79 years ago today. Together with the @usabmc, we have proudly corrected his headstone to display the #StarofDavid.

We conducted 3 headstone change ceremonies today in France and continue to look for ways - on MemorialDay and every day - to honor these individuals for their faith, service, & sacrifice.
- Today, 80 after he was killed in WWII, and after being buried in a mass grave in a nearby German military cemetery, 1LT Nathan B. Baskind will now be laid to rest at the @usabmc Normandy American Cemetery w/ full military honors befitting his faith, service, & sacrifice.Tomorrow, June 23, 2024, ABMC will have the unique privilege to render honors and lay to rest 1st Lt.
