We remember the sacrifice of Sgt. Jack Gilbert, who was killed after he was hit by enemy shell fire February 16, 1944 - 79 years ago today. Together with the @usabmc, we have proudly corrected his headstone to display the #StarofDavid. Watch here: youtube.com/watch?v=4JGioM…

Thanks @MarkHertling for your service & your shout out to @OperBenjamin & @usabmc. We conducted 3 headstone change ceremonies today in France and continue to look for ways - on MemorialDay and every day - to honor these individuals for their faith, service, & sacrifice.

Today, 80 after he was killed in WWII, and after being buried in a mass grave in a nearby German military cemetery, 1LT Nathan B. Baskind will now be laid to rest at the @usabmc Normandy American Cemetery w/ full military honors befitting his faith, service, & sacrifice.

See today’s @nypost about our work to identify Lt Nathan Baskind, a US Jewish soldier from Pittsburgh who was KIA in WWII. MIA & buried in a German mass grave 80 years ago, he will now be buried in Normandy on 6/23/24, the 80th anniversary of his death.

Help us remember 2nd Lt. Kenneth E. Robinson today. Hailing from Ohio, Lt. Robinson was a U.S. Jewish airman and bombardier in #WWII with the 533 Bomber Squadron, 381st Bomber Group (Heavy) based out of Essex, England. 1/5.
