- 40 years ago today I released this 45. The recording process was arduous but we got there - and we got there with a bang. It was the very first NZ artist to enter the Top 40 at #1 - and the very first NZ recorded record in any format to do that. I'm quite proud of that.
- Quarantine Samui style. Fisherman's Village seems to have some life now and it's still quite stunning.
- Replying to @BabsNL and @LegalValkyrieEdward, George and Henry covers most of England.
- I'm quite excited about this and if you are from Aotearoa and of a musical bent you'll probably know why. Mid next week we go live with the next Rip It Ups on Papers Past, 1986-98, the last of the Murray Cammick era.
- God knows how this plays back in NZ but this is a ruthless scything of Simon Bridges in one of Asia's most important newspapers. amp.scmp.com/news/asia/aust…
- Anyone around the club or bar scene in Auckland in the last thirty years knew The Hat, who passed last night. RIP Kev 🖤
- Replying to @medeabenjamin and @asiatimesonlineThere are complicated and conflicting claims to much of that and maybe the US should not be proddng so enthusiasticly there (as several SEA nations are also saying) but FFS the name is not part of the chain of evidence.
- I rarely feel ashamed of my passport but today came close. Scumbags, idiots, who deserve to see the inside of a Thai prison cell.
- So saddened to hear of the passing of my old friend Barry Jenkin, a giant of NZ broadcasting. Our John Peel if there was such a thing. audioculture.co.nz/profile/barry-… @AudioCultureNZ
- One of dozens of craft beer places across Hong Kong serving mostly local brews. Thailand seems to be the last (non-Islamic) SEA and East Asian country without a thriving CB industry thanks to a paid-to-protect duopoly with undue influence. A soft power failure.
- Replying to @pdt2211 and @Carnage4LifeThe new TikTok legislation in the US makes the EU look like the hub of openness.
- Maybe a carrot cake map of Bangkok is in order, if so the Wallflowers Cafe in Nana, Chinatown, is in the top ten.
