    The Suspect in the Cat Abuse Video has been ARRESTED! He was spotted by officers today in Upland. He ran from the officers but was quickly tackled and arrested. The injured cat is at a veterinarian hospital being looked after and is in good condition.

    We are investigating the animal cruelty to a cat video. We have located the cat & owner. The cat has leg fracture but is going to be ok.

    A recent tweet went out that Officer Gracia had passed away. That is misinformation, he is still in critical but stable condition.

    Today, we mourn the loss of one of our own, Detective Joshua Burks. Tragically, he passed away after being involved in an off duty traffic collision in the City of San Bernardino. We ask that any media inquiries regarding the collision be directed to San Bernardino PD.

    OPD is aware of the post on social media regarding a threat of a shooting at the Ontario Mills Mall today. OPD has tracked down the person responsible for this threat and the suspect is in custody. The Ontario Mills Mall is safe and open to the public.

    Ontario Police are responding to reports of a possible shooting at the Ontario Mills Mall. Officers are on-scene and so far there is no evidence of any shots fired in or near the mall. Update to follow.

    On October 19th, OPD received information a student at Ontario High School brought a gun on campus. A search warrant was issued for the juvenile's home, a gun was recovered and he was arrested. School safety is our top priority. Offenders will be arrested and held accountable.

    Update: OPD confirms no active shooting occurred at Ontario Mills Mall. There was a fight that had broken out and caused patrons to panic. Ontario Mills Mall is safe.
