- Replying to @OnlySkyKimiIt's actually two sins (1) You're not supposed to fast to lose weight. It's a prayer, not a diet. (2) You're not supposed to harm yourself via fasting, which this amount of losing weight clearly is.
- Exhibit #89465837 that saying "white woman" is just the safe way of being a misogynist. I wish people would visit Iran, but if women don't want to deal with mandatory hijab, then I would only respect that.
- You can condemn invasion of Iran without pretending that hijab laws are ok or that trans people live in heaven in Iran

- Most westerners overestimate how bad life in an authoritarian country is, a smaller number overcorrect and underestimate. It's really hard to have a nuanced understanding from outside, understandably.I think a lot of y’all have overestimate the hardness of living in an authoritarian regime
