    #OnThisDay in 1989 the IRA murdered Nivruti Islania, 0. 6 months old shot with RAF father in Wildenrath, West Germany. Family were outside snack bar attached to a petrol station when 2 IRA fired on car. Mother wouldn’t leave. “She was in the car clutching the little child.” #OTD

    #OnThisDay in 1985 the IRA murdered William Heenan, 51. Widowed father of 1, digger driver. Protestant shot outside his home, 5 miles outside Castlewellan. No security force connections. 12 year old son ran almost a mile shouting, “Daddy’s shot! Daddy’s shot!” #OTD

    #OnThisDay in 1987 the IRA planned to bomb the Remembrance service in Tullyhommon on Fermanagh border with the Republic. The bomb was 4 times the size of the Enniskillen device. The parade was largely made up of children. It failed to go off & was made safe by bomb disposal #OTD
