#OTD in 1980: Trans American Flight 209, a B-707, lands safely in Chicago (US) after crew was incapacitated by food poisoning. An ex-fighter pilot traveling as a passenger, along with a flight attendant, took control, supported by an ATC specialist and a former USAF captain.
For people asking if this is real and not sim or AI, yes it is real, and happened in Madeira island, in 2023. A commentator recalled "if I landed like that I“d be invited for a "coffeeless meeting by the chief pilot"
#Breaking Two private warbirds, a B-17 and a P-63, collided in midair at the Wings Over Dallas airshow at Texas (US). So far no info about the number of people aboard. WARNING: Some viewers may find this video disturbing . Updates when possible
This video explains clearly how the B-787 fuel switches work. To move from "run" to "cut off" you have to 1) pull it up and 2) push it down. If you touch it only, it won“t move. Kudos to the OP (can“t find him)
We have updated our post on #J28243 to include local pressure (1025 hPa) altitude corrections for the ADS-B data. ADS-B data is only reported in Standard pressure (1013.25 hPa). flightradar24.com/blog/azerbaijaā¦
I can“t stress enough how impressive the F-35 VSTOL version is. I recall reading on the 90s on how the Harrier - despite a great combat record - had limitations in speed and load -this "successor" just raised the bar so much. (and looks badass)
