    HRH, The Duke of Edinburgh had a lifelong passion for wildlife. He supported our Zoos, science and conservation work for many years. We are so grateful to HRH Prince Philip and the Royal Family, who remain in our thoughts at this sad time.

    ZSL is working with British Divers Life Marine Rescue and Port of London Authority to provide expertise on the humpback whale that has been sighted in the River Thames this morning. It is hoped the whale makes its way back safely to the sea very soon.

    Record-breaking tiger numbers in India 🙌 🇮🇳 Bengal tigers are recovering in one of the most successful wildlife conservation stories ever. There are now over 3000 in the country for the first time in over 50 years, after hunting and habitat loss almost wiped them out forever.
