Just putting this out into the universe... if anyone with a few extra billion laying around wants to find a way to own an MLB team in Oakland, there is a massive, very wealthy fanbase with a huge appetite to give you a lot of money. Just takes a bit of respect and care.

Psst… the A’s aren’t moving to Sacramento because they want to move to Sacramento. They’re moving because Oakland was over their bullshit and wouldn’t just give them a free ride, and Sacramento was the closest sucker who would. Not rocket science.

I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised how local, regional and national baseball media are almost unequivocal on putting the blame for this mess entirely on John Fisher, and that none of this process was fair to Oakland fans. If nothing else, I'm glad that message made it out.

My money says the reason Manfred tried to act tough in his quotes about Oakland today is that he spent the last 48hrs getting reamed by his owners about how ridiculously bad MLB and Fisher look after getting absolutely owned by Oakland fans this week.
