13+ years ago I was applying to be an artist for Riot games. I didn't get that job, but this week my artwork is going to be in one of my favourite games (Overwatch) and one of my favourite riot concept artist from that time follows me. 🥹🤍 It feels really surreal.

Before I found out I had stage 4 endometriosis, my doctor kept telling me I just had IBS and got mad when I saw a urogyno "behind his back". I begged for an ultrasound which he gave me but said "when there's nothing on it you have to admit there's nothing wrong with you."

Reddit is so horrifying bc you can go to a sub for people with health problems and see tons of people desperate for help, strategizing on how to be taken seriously, and then you go to a doctor sub and it's full of professionals talking about hysterical women and blue hair.

The ultrasound showed a rather big calcified cyst, which my gyno agreed to remove surgically to see if it helped my issues. That surgery is what found my endometritis. That surgery is how I found out I'm infertile because the disease destroyed my fallopian tubes and ovaries.

So yeah I never even went back to that doctor for my results. I called and had all my medical files moved to a nurse practitioner. If I ever see him on the street I hope he knows I'll never have children because he dismissed me for years.
