- We are so incredibly thankful you are still here with us @andrew_kalman, and we are glad to hear you are on the road to recovery. 💙 Thank you for sharing your story. Stay strong—we are always here for you.The call that saved my life. Before placing this call I really wasn’t sure if I wanted to be alive or not. I could barely breathe, I definitely couldn’t speak. I have no idea how @OKCPD dispatch got someone to my apartment, but thank God they did. Wish I could meet that
- When reports came in that one person was chasing another and a firearm was involved, every second mattered. Our Real Time Information Center quickly launched a drone to get eyes on the situation and provide responding officers with real-time information.
00:00 - We love a nice breeze on a warm Oklahoma morning, but this isn't what we have in mind clocking a driver at 105mph in a 60mph. Look, the speed limit signs aren't just "polite suggestions." Please, slow down OKC.
- Thanks to @Salvationarmyok for dropping off these treats! Did you know the "Donut Lassies" served donuts to WWI soldiers to boost morale, inspiring #NationalDonutDay? Today, they’re boosting morale right here at OKCPD. We appreciate the support and the history!
- Another successful arrest thanks to our Real Time Information Center. A foot pursuit, suspect tosses a loaded handgun. The entire incident was captured by one of our drones, giving officers real-time intelligence and helping bring the situation to a safe conclusion.
00:00 - As the WCWS winds down, we want to thank the officers and support personnel who helped keep Devon Park and the surrounding area safe throughout the tournament. We’re proud to help showcase Oklahoma City on softballs biggest stage.
- 105mph in a 60mph Zone Excessive speeding like this significantly reduces your reaction time and drastically increases stopping distance, putting every driver, passenger and pedestrian on the road at serious risk. Please slow down and help us keep OKC safe.
- With the College World Series & Thunder Game 7 here’s the game plan: 🚗 Give yourself extra time. Lock your car & hide valuables. 👀 See something suspicious? Report it to an officer/call 911. 🚨 Zero tolerance for DUI. Use a rideshare or designated driver. LET’S GO THUNDER!
- A family of geese ducked on to a busy interstate recently, thankfully a group of bystanders started a roadside rescue. The goslings were temporarily detained before being safely reunited w/their parents at a nearby pond. Talk about a happy fowl-family ending! #FeelGoodFriday
