OBS Studio 32.1 is now available! Alongside the usual tweaks and fixes, this release continues our steady work tidying up the codebase. This release features a complete rewrite of the Audio Mixer, cleaning up code, and adding new functionality.

Next release we're aiming to update the workflow for adding sources by replacing the popup menu with a new window, which includes previews. We are looking for more users to test this update and provide us feedback. Visit our Discord to try it out and share your thoughts early!

New Additions - Pinning sources - Toggle of hidden sources - Toggle showing inactive sources - Previewed sources in Studio Mode This rewrite also means future updates are easier. Support for sorting the mixer is planned.

Both the vertical and horizontal mixer layouts have been updated, and vertical is now the default. Note: Due to how OBS saves default settings (It doesn't), if you've never changed layouts your UI will get swapped to vertical. Horizontal is still available!

As noted in the thread, this only affects downloads of these resources via the forums. While the obs-websocket forum resource was briefly affected, only about 80 downloads of that occurred. The version of obs-websocket bundled with OBS and available via GitHub was NOT affected

OBS is primarily developed by a dedicated community of volunteers and part of that process is testing new changes. The flexibility of OBS means everyone uses it differently and we cannot catch everything. The easiest way to give back to the project is to help test!
