Interview with the Vampire is unmatched in the tv landscape right now. If y’all weren’t so scared of genre, it would be the most talked about show.

Why are y'all so obsessed with magic systems? It's ok to not understand how every little bit works.

Sitting here thinking about how black and brown bodies and voices are denied simple respect, while white people can tear down the government they claim to love without consequences.

Authors please have a website. I don't care how basic it is. LET. ME. STALK. YOU.

    I'm not ignoring you. I'm just ✨overwhelmed✨.

This is probably weird, but I'm damn proud of myself. If you know me personally you know I had a rough start in publishing. I almost quit dozens of times. So, it's startling to see Editor next to my name when I had moments of complete self-doubt.

She’s thicc. She’s chunky. JADE LEGACY is coming for your throats on November 30th. @FondaJLee

One day y'all will learn the difference between Adult and YA novels. I hope that day is soon...

Publishing, if you're doing a thing "for" Black people and haven't asked Black people what they want or involved Black people in the planning...who are you really doing it for? Just a comment...don't mind me.

I’ve had a lot of conversations about blackness in publishing today, especially centered on my role in it. As far as I know, I’m currently the only acquiring editor that works in SFF that identifies as black and that’s a lot...

Waves in only black acquiring editor at a SFF imprint.

As a Hachette employee, I walked out today in solidarity with the #LittleBrownWalkout, #GrandCentralWalkout, @RealDylanFarrow, @RonanFarrow, and all survivors of sexual assault.

This is a common refrain when Black people step into the fray. I'm so sick of seeing non-black people patted on the back when they speak out. Question: are you supporting the Black people around you so they don't suffer the negative consequences of reaffirming their humanity?

To add a little bit to current discourse: If you want to stay, figure out how much you're willing to compromise. If you want to leave, walk out the door now. If you're starting out, make sure you walk in with your third eye all the way open.
