GUESS BLOODY WHAT? I passed my doctorate Major Review with #CEMPDOC with no amendments!! (The council estate girl who went to a grammar school, university & now on my way to a Doctorate!) And I even had time in between to help make dinner for the kids! #WomenEd #WomenEdtech

Oh my #FriYay! MASSIVE day today. It’s my ‘Major Review’ for the doctorate today. A 2 hour session where I discuss my research on #Inclusion in #education using #edtech - with a #CEMPDOC panel for the Ed.d. And I’ve realised it’s an INSET day… OF COURSE! Wish me luck!!

This is me - 13 years ago. I was an Advanced Skills Teacher and two weeks off having my first born. 6 months from being told “SLT have to be in school 5 days a week to have an impact”. I never knew how much you could impact on education just by stepping out of the classroom.

When I was little, the ‘Christmas break’ was something I dreaded. School was the safe space. If you have the privilege of not understanding this, take a minute. There will be children in your classrooms, staff in your staff rooms that won’t be celebrating. Read the room.

What you might not know is that when COVID hit, my feeling was that early years parents (like me at the time) would be ignored. I was right. I reached out to @SwailesRuth to see if she’d help me. We made 80 videos with other #EYFS LEGENDS to help parents. No pay. Just because.
