    Fort Lauderdale police officers laughed and joked with each other after shooting protesters with rubber bullets at a May 31 George Floyd protest. They didn’t seem to realize a body camera was picking up their comments.

    In his letter, Borges said he was quitting b/c he could not “verify that agency data is being used in accordance with legal agreements or in compliance with federal requirements.” He also said employees were afraid to speak out internally for "fear of retribution or termination."
