The Oxford Union says President-elect George Abaraonye will now face disciplinary proceedings for his vile celebration of Charlie Kirk’s murder. This only happened because we spoke out; institutions can be held to account. The University should follow suit and expel him.

George Abaraonye, the incoming Oxford Union President, is alleged to have openly celebrated Charlie Kirk’s shooting in a WhatsApp group chat. Frankly shocking, especially given he debated Kirk at the Union earlier this year. A vile and utterly sickening display.

Police say the Huntingdon train attackers are a 32-year-old black British man and a 35-year-old of Caribbean descent. They insist it isn’t terrorism. But let’s be honest: if you storm a train and carry out a mass stabbing on innocent people, you’re a terrorist. Simple as that.
