    I'll just add that this is why I have no attendance policies or bonuses. I emphasize how students who don't show up often don't do well, but I list all of these reasons (and more) as acceptable reasons to miss class. College/university students are adults - treat them as such.

    Reaganomics has failed. This nonsense about "minimum wage increases ruin the economy" is just another GOP lie. Florida voters passed a $15/hour wage increase, so everyone here is going to see it. We're not going to be paying tons more for anything. Lies, lies, lies.

    I'd add that there are *many* good reasons students should not be in class on a given day: transportation issues (US has awful public transit), sick child, child school function they need attend, boss changes their work shift suddenly. School isn't all there is to life.

    I'm fine with minors in the fandom, but am not fine with puriteens expecting everyone to conform to their moral judgments, lying about their age, getting into adult spaces, and saying people 30+ shouldn't be in the fandom. Yeet!

    Ikr? Minimum wage hasn't increased since I finished my master's degree. Meanwhile, grocery costs have doubled. Anyone who says a wage increase ups prices is a total fool.
