Front side moves in search of higher bat speeds is a great way to not hit better in game. Bat speed isn’t bad, but how your training yourself to generate it often leads to more miss. Come check out our brand new building in Bellevue, WA, you won’t want to leave! @TheElevatedPA

So important to understand what makes you, you. Bonds thought catch deep, turner out front. Trout feels on top, others level, others straight up. Some feel slow to fast, others 70%, and some all or nothing. Just because swing patterns are similar doesn’t mean thoughts are! #real

Post Hitting Checklist: 1. Timing (late/early?) 2. Selection (good/bad decisions) 3. Mentality (approach/thoughts) 4. Ball Flight (results) 5. Feel (rushed, tense, loose, easy etc) Timing is always number 1. Timing can directly impact the rest.

Timing is hitting. Great swing plane creates timing forgiveness. Solid sequence allows athletic adjustments. Mentality of a giant breeds competitive at bats. Be on time. Be on plane. Be athletic. Be mentally tough! #AreYouALionOrLamb?

Had a dad ask me to talk to his kid about how he can get out of the box quicker to beat out ground balls...I said it’s simple. Don’t hit ground balls.

Having an elite swing ; a swing that arrives on plane and on time more often then average hitters. Is absolutely vital to be great. But... Having an elite mind is far more important. Having the comprehension and focus to constantly be learning and adjusting and then trusting...

Spinners get sliders away. Pushers get FB’s in. Choppers get sinkers. Loopers get elevated FB’s. Great swings hit multiple pitches and get paid!

The amount of times a hitter thinks they are too early but are actually late making move and just panic ripping hands to compensate leading to weak out front contact has to be 90/100.

Watch for the hitters who take hangers for strikes and same hitter will chase the offspeed in dirt or FB up…they are late. Not seeing ball early enough. Panic take because ball looks like it’s hitting them and then panic swing because ball looks like a strike then is not…

Congrats to one my best friends @Cody_Atkinson_ long time cage rat, an overall phenomenal person, and one of the best hitting coaches in the game,on his new journey as the Texas Rangers MILB Hitting coordinator! The future is bright my friend! Keep killing it! Love you brotha!

Funny how the best hitting coaches I know don’t work out of big cookie cut cages with shiny new turf and metal fences. Don’t judge a book by its cover. Don’t judge a hitting coach by his cage or toys. Great info is only as good as the person translating it!

Guys that hit .210 go 0-2 and auto 0-4 because of stress and panic. 2-2 turns into 2-4 because of lost focus or care. Guys who hit .310 turn 0-2 into 1-4 and 2-2 into 3-4/4-4. Having a great swing helps an enormous amount but having a great mind will always be the greatest edge

Best body control and lower body in the game! Unreal. If you want to hit at a high level your ability to make a move; on time, consistent, and connected with ground is an absolute must! This video is absolute fire!!!!
Mike Trout HR #20. 2-2, LH CH away 79.5 mph.

Not sure who needs to see this but timing and vision are by far the most important piece to game hitting. Late panic cripples hitters....path and adjustability will both greatly improve. You’ll miss less, chase less, and ultimately hit more “easy rockets”!
