    Ukrainian commander in Mykolaiv tells us Russians are abandoning many vehicles near the city. "They have no will to fight. They don't even have food. It's -10 with snow here, they don't want to be here."

    Something I've noticed over the past week or so here: almost every Ukrainian I spoke to has made it clear that they blame not only Putin, but the average Russian as much (or more) for this war. The view is: we overthrew our corrupt government, and they accept their murderous one.

    Artur Naifonov, from North Ossetia, won bronze in the men's freestyle wrestling 86kg in Tokyo two days ago. In 2004, when Artur was seven years old, he was one of 700+ children held hostage during the Beslan School Siege. His mother was killed saving him. Unbelievable story.

    The people we watched crawl out of the rubble today told us their relatives in Moscow didn't believe them. Videos of their destroyed home were met with 'it's a fake' or 'Nazis did it.' *Every* bond between Ukrainians & Russians - familial, cultural, historical - is being broken.

    Isn't it amazing to think that one of the main reasons we (i.e. US intelligence) knew the war was coming is because Ramzan Kadyrov was just sending fucking voice notes about it

    Stepanakert now. There is an almost 100km line of cars from Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia as the entire population flees. 120,000 people are leaving their homes.
