It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of one of Apache Junction Police Department’s own, Officer Gabriel Facio.
Officer Facio passed away from injuries received in the line of duty that occurred on June 2, 2025.

- Today, we take the time to remember Officer Houston James Largo. He succumbed from a gunshot and died on March 12, 2017. This day brings remembrance of a heroic police officer that gave his life for others to survive.

- It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Sammy Ahkeah, who retired from the Navajo Dept. of Criminal Investigations Shiprock Office in 2010, after serving 32 years w/the NN Div. of Public Safety. Prior to that, he served w/BIA Law Enforcement & also w/ the U.S. Navy.
