To the trolls who commented on my weight and untucked shirt: 1. I’ve spent 8 months taking steroids to avoid brain cancer causing seizures. I’m not happy with the associated weight gain either. 2. I have a stoma/colostomy bag, which means a shirt doesn’t fit over it well- sorry!

The underlying tragedy in being a terminal cancer warrior is that you don’t get out alive. We’ve just lost the best role model for how to live when you’re dying. Right up to the end, @JaneyGodley laughed in the face of death and that is one form of courage I hope to find myself.

Having recorded a couple of party political videos, can I offer some advice? If you want to make these pensioners look at least a little bit destitute, try to avoid conducting the interviews in what are clearly the huge family homes your grandchildren can’t even dream of owning?

1. I volunteered. 2. In the interest of balance, you could also attack some right wing cancer patients but it would be even nicer if you could try a bit harder to be a nice person and not attack anyone eh? Particularly people dying of cancer - too much to ask?

This is the opinion of someone who can imagine gradually shifting the political landscape to the left over a few decades. I don’t have that luxury. I’ve probably got one election left and I’d love to see decent people (indisputably) in power as soon as possible.

It saddens me that the right wing press has such a problem with a Northern woman, who grew up in poverty, having the audacity to save her EARNED/TAXED income in order to spend it on nice things. Oh and how DARE she go to watch an opera! Leave my mate Ange alone go pay your taxes.

I’ve just watched this interview from start to finish and it’s a masterclass. This should be used as a case study on how to deal with hostile journalists Wes’s ability to stay calm and not be bullied into corners is an example that you could build a media training course around!

Please may I interrupt the constant stream of political wrangling to share some really REALLY good news from my doctor. RFA is a procedure that will burn off my last remaining cancer. It will come back of course- I’m stage 4. But right now in this moment, that doesn’t matter.
