🗣 After many conversations, studying, and observing… these are some random thoughts from a former college basketball 🏀 after completing 100 days living in the player development and skill training 🌎. A thread 🧵… (1/13)
Ecstatic to make this official and have the opportunity to join such a tremendous staff and program! Time to get to work! #Lesssgo#UNDProud#PledgeYourLoyalty 🏀🦅
Just left the hospital visiting a family member. After leaving, I can’t help but think about all of the AMAZING people who sacrifice so much in so many professions working on the holidays🎄! Thank you and the biggest blessings to those special people!
It was a big day yesterday for our Serbian 🇷🇸 assistant coach @coachMihailovic‼️ He became an official citizen of the USA 🇺🇸‼️So of course we celebrated by waving flags and eating 🎂! @UNDmbasketball
“Now listen guys…. The next time @SemJeremiah dunks on somebody, let’s please try not to have all 9 of our players on the court patting their head…. Thanks” 🤣

As @freddy_coleman and I travel home from Iowa and our last tournament… the word that comes to mind is GRATEFULNESS! To the players, parents, families, & coaches…THANK YOU for making this a special year 1️⃣‼️ We’ll continue to work to be even better for you!!

Do they teach “Flossing” in elementary PE these days or what? Arguably the most consistent “skill” I have seen from young kids in my 11 years of running camps. Quite impressive! 💃
WHAT A SEASON‼️ Ended on top 🏆! So proud of these guys and how they represented themselves, families, and our program/state. All have exciting college opportunities in front of them.
Huge thanks to the parents and support system for trusting me in this journey!

I am just so incredibly over and done with the people who want to rationalize or minimize the value of another person’s life. Or when they try to justify the reasonings behind these senseless acts of violence against black people. IT’S. NOT. OK! #BlackLivesMatter
Put in the work. Block out distractions. Keep your head down and stay in your lane. Focus on yourself and team. Persistently chase your goals. Treat people the right way. Good things will follow.
