To Aaron and Adam, Jonathan and Michael: I am sorry for the agony you are about to endure, and for the pain & betrayal you will feel at the hands of your beloved Dept. Know that you are on the right side of history & that we are so very proud of you for defending the rule of law.

- Going on the Rachel Maddow Show tonight. It's time to talk about the release of my text messages, the two years of lies shouted across the media about me, and what it's like when the President of the United States tries to ruin your life.
- I sued the Department of Justice and FBI today. I take little joy in having done so. But what they did in leaking my messages to the press was not only wrong, it was illegal. lawfareblog.com/former-fbi-law…
- Yesterday, our monstrous, despicable president assaulted Americans engaged in peaceful protest for a photo op. He could be reelected. I wrote a few mean texts four years ago and have been rained down with insults and attacks ever since. But I'm the fucking coup plotter. Got it.
- There are only 3 possibilities here: It was in the PDB or briefed to him but he didn’t bother to read or listen; the NSC/CIA deliberately kept it from him; or he knew and didn’t care because he wants to have a “good relationship” with a murderous autocrat. Pick your poison.
- This is a lie. Nothing like this ever happened. I wish we had a president who knew how to act like one. SAD!
- The sum total of findings by IG Horowitz that my personal opinions had any bearing on the course of either the Clinton or Russia investigations? Zero and Zero. Cool, cool. /end
- It’s interesting that Amy Coney Barrett can be publicly opposed to Roe v. Wade and say that her personal beliefs wouldn’t interfere with her being a judge, but it was impossible for me to do my job while privately expressing my dislike for Trump.
- I started something new today! 😳JUST ANNOUNCED: @MSNBC welcomes Former FBI Lawyer @NatSecLisa as an NBC News & MSNBC National Security & Legal Analyst.
00:00 - All I can say is this: I very much look forward to Rod’s deposition.Rod Rosenstein admits he authorized the public release of text messages between FBI agent Peter Strzok and FBI attorney Lisa Page but he claims he only did it to help them "avoid the additional harm of prolonged selective disclosures." Yeah, right. politico.com/news/2020/01/1…
- One of the most eye-opening and bewildering aspects of the Trump era is the unexpected discovery of men and women possessed w/ innate courage (Vindman, Yovanovich, Hill, Taylor, now Berman) and those that aren’t (Kelly, Bolton, Graham, Collins, [insert Republican senator here]).
- For those following along: After two IG investigations; At least a dozen IG lawyers and investigators poring over every text, email, and note I ever wrote; 1000 pages of investigative findings; And the President repeatedly accusing me of bias and treason; /1
- Yesterday was my two year anniversary of leaving the FBI. Two years have passed and I’ve lived a thousand lives and yet, everything is immovably the same.
