The only beer to survive our 14 year tenure is Amstel, which are owned by @Heineken. Unfortunately upon hearing how they are treating other independent pubs we will now be looking for a replacement. There is no place in our industry for the big bully boys #drinkindependents
So we've had a bit of fun today, but unfortunately, there are some serious stories unfolding here of increasing threats to independent businesses in our industry. (Thread)

IMPORTANT THREAD Ruth was well known to the Nags and a vital part of not just the Caversham community but the whole Reading community and more. Her life was literally dedicated to making other peoples lives better which is the saddest thing about the whole thing.

Evening all, long time no speak The bad news: We won't be opening on the 4th July The good news: We will be opening again! There are various reasons for this, one being that we have at last put in a brand new cellar floor which has been massively needed for the last 6 years

Just to let you all know that we are open as normal & will remain so until officially told to close by the government. That said we are taking the pandemic very seriously and therefore ask everyone to comply with the following guidelines if choosing to still visit the Nags Head

Meanwhile Ofsted will receive free legal support paid from the public purse. This is incredibly unjust. We feel so strongly about this that we will be donating the Entirety of Tomorrows Take to the Perry family’s crowdfunder. gofundme.com/f/fund-familys…

Huge thank you to everyone who came down this week to attempt to drink our stupid big cellar! We didn't quite make it of course but since our little plea for help Tuesday lunchtime we got through an incredible 15 casks of beer 🍻🍻 An incredible feat which means so much 👏👏👏

Tomorrow is our birthday!🥳🍻🎉 The Nags has been looking forward to turning 14 for some time as it means that it can now legally visit other pubs for a non alcoholic drink & a packet of crisps without its owners, & can go to gigs & concerts in licensed venues with it's mates!🎸
