Green MP @_chloeswarbrick was heckled by a National MP during her speech on the Zero Carbon Bill.
She fired back with "okay boomer" but the captions on Parliament TV clearly have not yet got the memo on millennial slang:
In the New Zealand parliament, member's bills that may be debated in future are stored in a 30-year-old biscuit tin (pictured).
It is known as "the biscuit tin of democracy".

Usually our flags #OnTheForecourt welcome international visitors, but today we're flying the #LGBTI flags for the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism & Transphobia (#IDAHOBIT) – the first time the intersex flag has been flown by a national parliament.
Happy #idahobit - International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia. If you brave the Wellington weather today, you'll see the Transgender pride, Rainbow, Progress pride, Intersex pride and Bisexual pride flags flying #OnTheForecourt!
Jacinda Ardern will give her Valedictory Statement in the House of Representatives on Wednesday, 5 April.

We had 12 languages spoken by MPs in the Commission Opening of Parliament today, including English, Te reo Māori, Mandarin, Samoan, Tongan, Rotuman, Korean, Dutch, Cantonese, Arabic, Sanskrit and Cook Islands Māori.
A Member’s Ballot has just taken place. The first bill drawn was no.39, Human Rights (Prohibition of Discrimination on Grounds of Gender Identity or Expression, and Variations of Sex Characteristics) Amendment Bill in the name of Dr Elizabeth Kerekere.
For the first time in New Zealand history, Parliament has achieved a 50/50 gender split in the House.
October 25 saw Soraya Peke-Mason sworn in — she is the 177th woman to enter parliament, bringing the split to 60 women and 59 men.
