Please come to an agreement with schools to allow them to play "High-Risk" sports. ADs are prepared to offer a safe playing environment with protocols in place to accomplish this. We have been on the sidelines watching everyone else now it's time for NY to lead again.
NYS, @NFL and @BuffaloBills have come to an agreement to allow ~6,700 fans to attend the first home playoff game. The stadium is outdoors. Every fan must test negative before game, wear a mask & social distance. There will be post-game contact tracing. To Bills fans—be smart.

Our biggest concern right now is not when Fall Sports can begin but when will @NYGovCuomo allow certified school coaches to work with kids to prepare them? It’s a Wild West Show out there right now and we’re not invited. 8/7 is too late. @NYSPHSAA @SteveSternNY @NYSEDNews

CT approved “high-risk” to start Jan 19. What are we missing here @NYGovCuomo and @HealthNYGov are ignoring the importance for kids to play. Please get this right ASAP. We are not spreaders. #LetsGo

The gloves are off it seems. Since we are the educators please educate @NYGovCuomo that schools provide certified coaches that will follow protocols for RTP. Outside teams are not complying. Bad for all of us. RT if you agree.

How in God’s name can the @HealthNYGov and @NYGovCuomo ignore what CT is doing. “CIAC Executive Director Glenn Lungarini said the DPH guidance allows the moderate and low risk sports of basketball, ice hockey, etc”. I can drive 3 miles and play hockey and basketball? ridiculous

We are finally seeing that even those that made it political can not deny the fact that it’s safe to play. @NYGovCuomo is more concerned with national politics than his own students and their health. Please get them back playing.
Another state figuring it out. @NYGovCuomo it is time for you to support the student-athletes of NY. We have covid training & we are the professionals. We can create a safer environment. Let @RobertZayasNY do his job & give us the guidance to do it. @NYSAAA6 @NYCHSFL @MahopacFB

We need every County Exec to get in the phone Monday to their respective DOH. Let’s continue to be vigilant with this.

Today is July 22...@NYGovCuomo has stated that he will make a decision on school openings by Aug 7. So for the next 16 days (maybe less) we need to show patience to @RobertZayasNY and the @NYSPHSAA as well as your local AD. We all want to play

It takes a village to start ALL sports.
Just got off a Zoom call w/ NY Assemblyman @colinschmitt. He will introduce legislation Thurs to get full reinstatement of ALL scholastic sports competition in NY. He said he's heard from fellow Assemblypersons who will back him. Stand by for video of interview. @News12LI

What if there was a travel team that taught character, accountability, ethics, and service? Who would pay for that? Answer...you already do, it’s your public HS sports team. #WeInvestInKids

ADs will be collaborating with their respective Superintendents as to how to proceed. We all know there are many obstacles to overcome and want nothing more than to gets kids playing...safely and responsibly

    Replying to @RossTuckerNFL
On the same scale as the coach that played in a game. The ability to think about cheating is fostered by celebrating it on social media.
