    So far this week, our investigators from the FEU apprehended 21 individuals want in connection with 20 acts of violence (10 murders and 10 non-fatal shootings), also seizing 4 guns in the process. This dangerous work was completed without injury to officer or offender. Great work

    What an amazing night and turnout at The Detective Brian Simonsen Memorial Foundation & 102 Pct Toy Drive last night. Members of the Detective Bureau and NYPD collected and gave out over 500 toys to local children and residents.

    Early this morning an off-duty Police Officer was shot outside the 25 Precinct by someone who chose to fire a gun. Luckily he is going to be ok. That bullet could have struck anyone. Help us find the person who committed this violent act. Call 1-800-COPSHOT if you have info.

    While our detective processes a crime scene he was blindsided and attacked by an individual armed with a weapon. This will never be tolerated. If anyone attacks a Police Officer they will be arrested and charged to the fullest extent of the law. @NYPDShea @NYPDnews @NYPDTips

    For the past 40 1/2 years Detective Steven Litwin has dedicated his life to keeping the citizens of New York City safe. On July 16th he will be hanging his gun belt up for the last time as he retires from the NYPD.
