00:00 - Sad news has reached us of the death of Jimmy ‘Puddin’ Cullinan, a lovely man and a hurling legend. Jimmy was one of the finest players ever to wear the Newmarket jersey and was equally brilliant in the colours of Clare and Munster. His honours include 10 Senior Co. championships
- 1) James Power is a Newmarket senior hurler. 2) He also received a diagnosis of Cancer this year. 3) Thankfully, caught early, his treatment has been successful. 4) We’re all very proud of his bravery and relieved at this outcome. Please consider supporting his fundraiser
In April I was diagnosed with, and successfully treated in the Galway clinic for cancer. As I am now recovered, I would love to raise some funds for the Irish Cancer Society. I will be (slowly) running 99km over the month of October. - This dog has a special talent!!! Thanks a million to SNOOP and his human, Joe Pender who collected all these sliothars from the long grass behind our goals.

- It is with terrible sadness, that we have learned of the death of Liam Danagher, one of our finest ever hurlers, and what is more, a really likeable man. Known to many as ‘Cass’, he was given the nickname in his youth by someone who thought he was The Greatest, just like Cassius
