Thank you to all of Team NNUH for your efforts over the last few weeks as we stand united and prepared for the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
So far, 39 patients have recovered and have been able to return home, thanks to the dedication and care of our teams.💙
🙏 We're pleased to announce that we have now had over 700 people return home to continue their recovery from Covid-19.
We'd like to thank all of our dedicated staff who continue to fight this virus.
It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of Staff Nurse Estrella Catalan – a much-loved colleague and hugely respected member of our NNUH family.
Thank you to everyone across the NHS and local community who joined the minute’s silence for her this morning.
🙌 We start off today by announcing the wonderful news that over 98% of our staff have now received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
This wouldn't have been possible without the tireless efforts of our vaccination team. 👏
One of our own @toddcantwell_10 has sent us a message thanking all of the incredible staff at NNUH who continue to work with kindness, compassion and dedication during these challenging times. Thank you to Todd and @norwichcityfc for showing their support.
This morning we held a minute's silence in memory of Staff Nurse Estrella Catalan. Our CEO @SamHigginson12 said a few words in the presence of staff from across the Trust as well as Estrella's family before the silence followed by a minute of clapping.
Our staff gave a guard of honour for Sean Hunte as he left Docking Ward this afternoon after more than 200 days at NNUH with serious Covid-19 complications.
Everyone at the Trust wishes you all the best with your ongoing rehabilitation at home.
💙We'd like to start today with some thank yous. The first has to be a huge thank you to our staff - their hard work, dedication and resilience during this time is admirable to all.
🙌 We are pleased to announce that thanks to our hardworking and dedicated vaccination team we have now given over half of our staff their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
🏳️🌈 We're proud to be the first Trust in the region to create a Rainbow Pride pathway which was completed today, in advance of our Norwich Pride celebrations on 30 July, as a visual symbol of inclusion.
Today is a momentous day as our team of vaccinators has started to administer the Covid-19 vaccination to the most vulnerable people in our communities as part of the biggest vaccination programme the NHS has ever undertaken.
In just over a week, we have had another 200 people who had Covid-19 return home to continue their recoveries. This brings our total to over 900 recoveries since the start of the pandemic.
👏 Thank you so much to our hardworking staff.
