    Signed, sealed, delivered – @POTUS just signed into law the largest Pell Grant increase in a decade ($400)! Students can now receive a max Pell Grant of $6,895. We'll keep pushing toward of goal of #DoublePell, but this is a step in the right direction.

    The @CollegeBoard just pledged $5 million in #scholarships to the class of 2020! The new #OpportunityScholarships program guides students through six essential college planning steps & gives them the chance to earn $$ for completing each one. Learn more: cb.org/opportunity.

    🚨 #FAFSA news alert! As of Oct. 1, 2020, only 18% of FAFSA filers will be verified. Historically, @FAFSA has usually verified around 30% of filers, sometimes as high as 38%. Since Oct 1, 2018, that number had fallen to 22%. #FSATC2020 #FixFAFSA @FSACOO

    🚨 BIG NEWS: @usedgov will make temporary changes to the #FAFSA verification process to provide relief to students for the 2021-22 award year (the remainder of the current FAFSA cycle). NCAN has long advocated for such verification relief. bit.ly/36Fh9rn

    .@Politico is reporting #FAFSA simplification provisions will be included in the omnibus. We applaud this bipartisan agreement & look forward to learning more. Easing access to federal student aid, a longtime NCAN priority, is a step toward a more equitable #HigherEd system.
