    VAdm SH Sarma (retd), PVSM who started his journey for his 100th Birthday on 01 Dec 21, was the Fleet Commander during 1971 war. The Fleet under VAdm Sarma’s Command achieved total sea control including surrounding air space. He laid wreath and paid homage at NWM. @indiannavy

    With profound grief and a heavy heart, we regret to inform the sad demise of Cdr Sameer Oak (Retd), Age 49 on 30 Nov 23 at Visakhapatnam. He was an alumnus of 88th NDA, joined 78th BEC and earned Dolphin, after completing 60th Basic Submarine Course.

    With profound grief and a heavy heart, we regret to inform the sad demise of Cmde PS Bawa (Retd), Age 82 yrs on 14 Jul 24 at New Delhi. He was commissioned in the Indian Navy on 01 Jul 62 and joined the Submarine Arm in 1965.

    In a solemn ceremony at the National War Memorial, heartfelt and floral tributes were offered by Mrs Santhakumari V and Mrs Ambika V, sisters of V Venugopal, Sea II of INS Khukri, a Battle Casuality who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty during 1971 India Pak war.

    Lt Cdr Bijay Nair (Retd) made the naval fraternity proud on 11 Jun 23, when he crossed the finish line of the Comrades Marathon, also known as 'Ultimate Human Race' in 11 hrs 51 min covering a distance of 89 Km.

    RAdm Santosh Kr Gupta (retd), MVC, NM was Commanding Officer of INS 300–‘White Tigers’ onboard Vikrant during the 1971 operations. He led the squadron and launched devastating attacks on enemy locations and infrastructure in Chittagong & Khulna. Paid homage at NWM. @indiannavy

    Its a matter of great pride and honour that Shri Gajanan Jagannath Mane Ex ME I was presented Padma Shri by Hon #PresidentofIndia on 05 Apr for Social Work in the field of leprosy eradication. Mr Mane served in #indiannavy from 1965 to 1976 and took part in India Pak 1971 war.
