When he was 6, his grandfather was shot dead. His family became refugees, in a warzone. He grew up to the sound of grenades exploding. Coaches said he was too weak and too shy to play football. Today, Luka Modric just led Croatia its first ever #WorldCup final. #CROENG

During Italy's quarantine, Italian tenor Maurizio Marchini wanted to do something to spread joy amid all the sadness in Florence. So climbed on to his balcony and serenaded the entire town. Wow.

A man was sitting alone, on a bench in a park, singing Bon Jovi's Living on a Prayer by himself. By the end, the entire park joined along to sing with him. (๐ŸŽฅ@Goodable)

In the late 90s, a group of Howard University students were accepted into a prestigious theatre program at Oxford, but they couldn't afford it. Their teacher, Phylicia Rashad, turned for help to Denzel Washington, who paid for it. One of those students was Chadwick Boseman.

A pianist in Barcelona went to his balcony during the quarantine, to play a song for the neighborhood. A sax player in the building next door saw what was happening and joined him. And it was awesome.

Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was just asked to comment directly on President Trump's handling of the protests and violence in the US. Trudeau, who is usually quick to answer, paused for a very, very long time. This was his response.

There's more. There were three copies of the new NAFTA deal to sign. During the signing ceremony, President Trump appears to sign in the wrong place on one of them. This is the exact moment everyone realized, individually with their reactions, including Prime Minister Trudeau.

Chills. In Germany, a fan hurled racist slurs towards Leroy Kwadwo, a Ghanian football player. When other fans saw it, they alerted security, who escorted the man out. Then, as opposing players came to hug Kwadwo, the entire stadium stood up and chanted "Nazis Out!"

This is Glen Oakley. He was in the @footlocker when the El Paso shooting happened. When he ran to leave, he saw kids in the mall without their parents, scared and alone. So he picked up as many as he could and carried them to safety. Focus on the heroes. #ElPasoShooting
