ThisπŸ‘‡πŸΎ is a scene from the John Singleton's #Rosewood, a 1997 film dramatizing the real life destruction of a Black town and massacre of its people, in Florida in 1923. As for the quoted tweet? #WhiteRacialResentment is cruel regressive and destructive. #SameShitDifferentYear

So this MAGA couple is upset that an Immigrant that lives in their neighborhood drives a $100,000 dollar Lexus! The man is a U.S. citizen & is actually a Physician after going through years of schooling! From the looks of these two I doubt if they finished school period! Jealous

This picture for me is the most culturally forward aspect of #TheLittleMermaid production. The fact that they hired and paid black hair care professionals to properly do Halle's goddess locs as Ariel. May this become a standard onset for black actors.πŸ™πŸΎπŸ§œπŸΎβ€β™€οΈ

Context... This was the first meeting. This creator gets all kinds of reactions, mostly taken aback or trepidatious and this child was just curious and delighted the entire time.πŸ₯²

#TheLastofUsHBO is officially the first piece of media that I know of to address the biggest concern I always think about in these apocalyptic scenarios:

Not a drop of the world's b.s. has tainted her.

Given the last tweet, I wanted to share this. It's a tinotype photograph ftom 1856, of three unidentfied women from Harvard's collection. Note their style, and think about how black women are too often styled during that era when portrayed on film.

Folk are rightly excited about all the color up in #CastlevaniaNocturne, but I haven't seen anyone mention Zahn McClarnon voicing the first character we see in the trailer yet. He may just be the first Indigenous vampire I've ever seen in media like this.

So, can Yvette Nicole Brown FINALLY replace Chris Hardwick in prominence as relatable host, as she been more charming, a lot less tone-deaf about women and POC, and more thoroughly and genuinely engaged as a fan for years?

I guarantee every single person who jumped on the hate train is using a whole of bunch of products that changed that formulas w/o saying anything w/ no problems. They expected more because she's a black woman. That's messed up.

A small tidbit. Anne Rice had to be sold on Tom Cruise as Lestat, as she didn't like an American playing him, but she adored Aaliyah as Akasha, calling her performance "Remarkable." RIP.

The same ppl disingenuously attacking him for this truth, bullied a young Black actress they'd never heard of, in a play they wouldn't have gone to, to dent her sense of self in what should've been a happy debut. I'm sure she's feeling pressure to be flawless just as he stated.
"Doctor Who" star Ncuti Gatwa says β€œthere’s so much white mediocrity that gets celebrated, and Black people have to be absolutely flawless to get half of [that] anyway." β€œWe’re trained to be like, β€˜If I’m not exceptional, I won’t be loved.’ I think I’m just learning now like,

Octavia Butler's Kindred series premieres on FX/Hulu in November... So, I'm just wondering, where the trailer at?
