- Consider, AP is also not simply a news platform, but a news database. AP, Reuters, Al Jazeera etc all distribute their content to millions of smaller news producers worldwide. A kill notification means EVERYBODY in that network must withdraw. We haven't seen this in a long time.So just to be clear here - in the Public Relations industry, a โkill notificationโ is the coup de grรขce of the media circuit. For AP to issue this update, means that something is TERRIBLY wrong. Think of it as a Cat. 5 cyclone. This is literally a death blow to any press source.
