An individual on the canal shouted at my son to stop holding and swinging a stick he had collected because her 2 dogs, who were not on leads, would 'run at him'. Thoughts? I'd say put your dogs on leads if they can't be safe in a public space
Eton has around 1,300 pupils. Their teacher to pupil ratio is 1:8 and their average class size is 12. Their site is so big that they give ten minutes for students to move between classes. They're not back until September #edutwitter#Covid19UK
Does anyone else find that working in schools exhausts your social stamina? I spend all day talking to people, so when I finish work I'm all talked and listened out. Even in the half term breaks, I often find myself seeking solace in minimal socialising

I found out that a young lad I taught for my first 3 years in teaching has just taken his life. He was such a ray of sunshine and gave us all so much to smile about. We should be shoehorning as much joy as possible into childhood, not rushing to make children grow up and conform
I stood in my doorway after welcoming the kids in and just stayed there smiling for a few minutes after as I watched them all chatting and catching up. It proper warmed my heart. Well, until one said "Mr Harrison, why are you being weird?"
I can keep a hall of 300-400 children in check, but I can't manage my own 2 year old's behaviour. Proper terrible twos territory... it's like having a tiny, drunk, very angry man stomping around the house throwing things at us and shouting
A young lad in our Year 5/6 bubble said to me today that he can't listen to my recordings of stories at school. When I asked why, he said it's because he listens to them cuddled up with his mum before bed. My heart is full
