Our club is devastated at the news of the untimely death of our senior player and county U-20 captain Brendan Óg Ó Dufaigh. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this very sad time. All club activity has been postponed until further notice.

This evening we were delighted to meet with the Ó Dufaigh family to present them with the first four limited-edition Ógie jerseys. This special jersey was designed by our senior captain Aodhán Óg McAnespie in collaboration with the Ó Dufaigh family.

Our juveniles this morning formed an O in memory of the late Ógie Ó Dufaigh. Ogie started out his football journey with us on Saturday mornings, it was a pleasure to coach him, to know him and to watch him grow up into an amazing young man. Codladh sámh Ógie 💚🤍💚🤍

We are very sad to hear the news about Hugh Coyle this evening. We have lost a club legend and our town has lost a great character. RIP Hugh. 🟢⚪
Deepest sympathies to the Coyle family and @MonaghanHarps on the passing of Hugh. He was such an important part of Special Olympics @stmacartans every Tuesday evening, he was also Harps and @monaghangaa true and true. Ní bheidh a leithéid arís ann. Ar dheis Dé go raibh Hugh.

We will meet tomorrow morning at Hugh's house at 10.15. We hope to line both sides of the road. We will walk to the Cathedral, where the Arch club and Special Olympics will form their guards of honour. We ask you to wear club colours as we honour Hugh.

    Replying to @MonaghanHarps
As Ógie's home is private to family and close friends we have decided to open a book of condolence at Monaghan Harps tomorrow evening (7-10pm) & Tuesday (6-9pm). This will be run in strict adherence to GAA and Public Health Covid guidelines.
