You may have seen the news.. After 17 years with Newstalk, not least 14 with OTB, I have decided to move on to pastures new. I depart on great terms, with nothing but gratitude. Having pitched up at the station in 2007, fresh out of college, this place has been one of the few

Final OTB done. Emotional day. To so many great colleagues, thank you for everything. To so many listeners, you’ve made a dream job all the better, blown away by the kindness. This has been a big part of my life. Very grateful for it. Over and out

Shane Lowry. One of the very best people to deal with, not least when things were tough. He wanted it so badly. And what a golfer. Open Champion by 6 shots. On the island of Ireland. Ole Ole at Royal Portrush. Touch of magic to it all

Think the McLaughlin/Small incident is straightforward. Lining a vulnerable fellah up for a big shoulder is a great part of the game, but if you plough in with that kind of force and make contact with the head it’s 100% on you and a red card. Too dangerous otherwise

A lucky escape on the motorbike tonight. Slowing for red lights. Van behind me - I’m convinced on his phone - straight into the back of me. Bike has been taken away. I’m fine. Put the bloody phones away - there’s lots of time on the loo for scrolling.

The Farrell Family dynamics are quite something. Andy brings the grandsons, Tommy & Freddie, to Ireland training today. Owen didn't realise until media told him. He laughed that Andy keeps buying them IRE jerseys. And they're all staying at Andy's house. Beautiful. And bonkers.

A fair chance Jarlath Burns ends up President of Ireland at this rate, what an impressive man
