- Why would anyone think removing 13,000 seats from this is a good idea? Packed house on a 95 degree day in late September as 17 point underdogs. Dumbest idea ever. Especially when people are clearly satisfied with the current seats or they wouldn’t sell out. Spend money on needs.
00:00 - Nothing like paying $35 for two adults and a 12 year old to get into a basketball tournament for 10 year olds. It’s criminal.
- Sold out the biggest venue in the state…had to delay the start of the semifinals an hour to allow the ticket gates time to get everyone in. Our state does high school wrestling right. Nothing compares to Friday night semifinals and heartbreak round
- An open letter to the kids and coaches that are participating in round 1 or the playoffs today/tonight.
- Per request, here is the full Nebraska HS collection. We have 207 of 280 existing football teams with an additional 7 that no longer have a team.
- Sometimes when weights are over and everyone has gone home for the night I like to go out to the field and think of some of the great young men that have come through the programs I’ve been a part of. High school football coaches are some of the luckiest people in the world.
- The full collection of 33 completed Nebraska high school helmets. Nebraska makes up 33 of our 175 total. We have the decals to make 30+ more, just need to get some expired shells.
- The updated collection of 254. I think we are at 69 Nebraska helmets. All 50 states represented.
00:00 - We’re at 151 Nebraska High School helmets now. On a mission to have every HS in the state. Sent out a bunch of messages before Xmas and have a ton of responses. Nebraska HS coaches are great people, very willing to help us out. Now that Xmas is over we will link up with those
- Photo taken before the 1st round game. To the kid on the floor this was a moment that probably didn’t mean much. Focused on the game. To the 9 year old in the stands it meant the world. I’ll always be thankful for kids like this one that understand little eyes are always on them
- I’m so thankful for the kids that wore these cleats. I pray that whatever shoes they wear in the future take them wherever they want to go. They’ve left a big footprint here.
