WHAT IS TRANS IDEOLOGY ALL ABOUT? Updated and extended edition, 2023 "THE TRANSGENDER READER: LANGUAGE, LAW, SPORT & REALITY. A COLLECTION OF ESSAYS" Free download: philpapers.org/rec/IMBTTR

That's a cool exchange: "At one point Ms Cunningham asked: “Should we agree to differ on language?” Dr Upton: “No, I don’t think we can.” The barrister later added: “What you’re doing in objecting to the language I’ve used is seeking to assert dominance.”

Why is being 'trans' placed above being 'autistic'? This is a travesty of justice - @FA . This is a classic example of silencing.

From gcacademianetwork.org/#: "My faculty (UK university) suggested turning all toilets into unisex. In a meeting with other managers I asked if they had done an equality impact assessment. I was thinking about ensuring adequate provision for women and people with disability...

Yes, but sometimes the world is simple: 1. There are oly 2 sexes. 2. TW are male. 3. It's impossible to change sex. 4. Medical interventions (cross-sex hormones) don't change sex. 5. Legal recognition of TW/TM relies on a legal fiction. 6. Those who believe the fiction suffer
Having a doctorate doesn't make you smarter or more intelligent, it means you have been trained to conduct research and how to analyse the world. It also means you understand the world isn't simple or there are easy answers to complex problems.

When biologist and Nobel Prize winner in medicine, Prof. Christiane Nüsslein-Volhard, tells you that there are only two sexes, and everything else is nonsense, then the trans-train has come to a stop: "Please alight here!"

'We have "women and non binary seminars", "women and non binary" study groups. There are no "Men and Non binary" groups, of course. Men are the default and everything else just goes into “other”.'

Trans theorists have realised that the notion of "Gender Identity" is problematic. Now they are rowing back - in a new paper. And they are blaming 'cis people' for it: "The concept of “gender identity” is rooted in an outdated sexology created by cis people" ... gender

There is another solution. Those who fear being misgendered add their pronouns (to their email). Everyone else stick to the tried and tested method (for millennia): do nothing, because people will get it right 99.999999% of the time. No need to inconvenience so many people.

1/Great logic from Lia Thomas: “It’s not taking away opportunities from cis women, really. Trans women are women, so it’s still a woman who is getting that scholarship or that opportunity.” This little trick is called a 'definitional stop' (H.L.A. Hart).

Academia is in the grip of trans ideology, so it is difficult to publish anything questioning this. Here is an exception: scholarship.law.marquette.edu/cgi/viewconten…

I explain why 'inclusion' is not a free-standing value - only 'fairness' and 'safety' are. Inclusion is merely a function of eligibility. [I borowed the AA example from @janeclarejones ]

...my PhD. It really feels like an institutionally sanctioned witch hunt, and the people who are doing it are doing it in the name of being progressive. It's heartbreaking."
