7 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Uganda today, Saturday 28 March 2020. This brings the total to 30 confirmed cases in the country.
Out of 225 samples run today, 218 samples have tested negative for COVID-19.

- PRESS RELEASE: All medical interns are expected to report to their various training centers by 3 August 2023. Gov't will deploy the 1,901 medical interns within the available budget at a net monthly allowance of UGX 1,000,000 per intern to facilitate accomodation and feeding.

- Uganda confirms an outbreak of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in Mubende District, Uganda. ย The confirmed case is a 24 year old male a resident Ngabano village of Madudu Sub County in Mubende District presented with EVD symptoms and later succumbed.
- Our attention has been drawn to a social media clip of a pregnant lady who went into labor while in quarantine.She was safely evacuated from her place of quarantine to Entebbe Grade B Hospital and receiving post natal care. Both mother and baby are in stable condition.#STAYSAFEUG
- 5 patients who were previously confirmed for COVID-19 have recovered, tested negative twice for the disease and discharged from hospital. 3 were discharged from Entebbe Hospital while 2 patients were discharged from Mulago Hospital. Total recoveries now stand at: 52.
