    This is utter BS. Oil exploration contracts were granted by the Syrian government to Russian firms - Mercury & Velada. So the question you have to ask is: why is Trump endangering U.S troops to secure oil, that has been officially granted to Russian companies?

    I’ve 2000+ hrs flying military assault helicopters. Icing is what stops helicopters flying. I’m in Paris. It’s 12DegC, that means the icing altitude is ~6000ft (lapse rate 2C per/1000ft). The CDG METAR says Cloud Base scattered 1300ft, broken 2600ft. It was totally doable.

    20 years & 10 tours of duty inc Iraq, Afghan, Kosovo & N.Ireland, and ready to pay the ultimate price on those tours - to defend the right to peaceful protest. And I’d do it again. Keep protesting peacefully against systematic racism. Never stop until social justice is achieved.

    Tom Cotton is the John Bolton of the future. A hawk that will go to any lengths to take America into unnecessary war. Cotton is the individual that would run in the opposite direction of danger, yet send others in masses into harms way. A person that has contempt for the world.

    The man has 35+yrs in the trade. @MalcolmNance is one of the real deals on cable news. He’s been there & when I say ‘there’ I mean deployed & felt the uncomfortable heat of conflict. A perspective few have. For sure choose who you listen to but you’d be unwise to ignore this pro.

    The police officer that was a first responder had a gun, and was shot dead. The implication that everyone should carry a gun to prevent mass shootings is utterly barking. Prevention is better than cure. Take the AR15 away then you don’t have to arm everyone to the teeth.

    3 deployments to Iraq, 2 to Afghan, 2 to Kosovo, first responder to the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, evacuation ops out of West Africa, and 2 years in Northern Ireland on counter IRA ops. I then went back to Iraq as correspondent. But that doesn’t matter. This is about Cotton.

    1. The raising of this Red flag over Iran’s Holy Dome of Jamkarān, is a signal of Iran’s intent. Iran’s strategy will now be a long & asymmetric one. Tactically Iran’s massive proxies are battle hardened, and no international mechanism can counter Iran’s intent.
