- Utah State is expected to name a new head coach in the next week. Sources indicate they are down to four finalists. BYU DC Jay Hill is one of them. A current Mountain West head coach is another finalist and at least one more MW HC interviewed for the job.

- Some Friday news: Following the abrupt removal of Hawaii AD Craig Angelos, Nike & BSN Sports are seriously considering pulling out of apparel deals, per sources familiar with the situation.
- Update on the Utah State job. Although info from sources is as of Thursday so this could be outdated by now. Jay Hill sounds like the top target & asked for financial commitments for facility upgrades, renewed NIL emphasis, operational and staffing budgets.
- I found this interesting. Travis Hunter 2023 stats: 9 games: 721 yards 5TDs, 30 tackles 3 INTs Travis Hunter 2024 stats: 10 games 911 yards 9 TDs, 24 tackles 3 INTs I know he missed games last year due to an injury, but was he ever in the Heisman discussion last year?

- Regarding Hawaii and the Mountain West. I'm being told by a source close to the situation that talks have gained serious momentum and things could be finalized as soon as this weekend.
- Boise State really did it. They landed a consensus top 50 (or higher) recruit in the nation. Credit to the coaching staff for going all in from the start and sealing the deal.
