I went Libertarian in '95 because Bush Sr. left the NRA and I was pissed about it (dumb). Voted Libertarian up to and including 2016 (guilty). Even marched with the Tea Party in 2009 in Albuquerque (stupid). I got played like a chump and I admit it. See? That's not very hard.
When I joined the Army in '87 I figured I was going to fight Russians. Never once did I ever think so many Americans would so willingly collaborate with them. Some of you are practically wearing Russian uniforms right now, like good little useful idiots / domestic enemies.
History will remember the GOP as the modern era Know-nothing Party; a collection of traitors, grifters, treason-enablers, and cowards. Domestic enemies, every goddamn one of them. May history piss on them.
"I used to save lives and now I feed birds" was what my ex said to me one day, after I found her sobbing by one of our bird-feeders. She'd been a trauma flight nurse in the Army before being medically retired due to RPG injuries. Kind of sums up transition to civilian life.
..I lobby my state reps. I'm supporting marginalized groups in my area (the homeless and the incarcerated). I'm finding everyone I can that's pushing back against the dystopia and lending what assistance I can. Humanity is at a crossroads and this is full-court press time.
