Spoke to a lot of scouts, coaches & GM’s yesterday. 3 questions that seem to come up lots were. Is the player Coachable. Is he a good teammate. How is his work ethic/ compete level. All that before Skill, Ability, IQ

I remember the first time I went to a Jr Camp at 16. I took it for granted 1000%. My advice to anyone going to camps take every minute serious. You are being watched every minute you are there even more than you know. Go with a purpose and focus to make an impact.

Akil Thomas of Team Canada plays 4 minutes in the gold medal game yesterday at World Jr Tournament. Not 4 minutes in 3rd period 4 minutes total in the game. Took advantage of his opportunity Made his moment count Did it for his TEAM #teamfirstmindset

Listening to Curtis Glencross on Rogers Hometown Hockey talk about his last year of Midget Hockey he was playing Midget C when he got scouted to go to the AJHL. You don't always have to be on the top team but were ever you are you need to work hard and believe. #heartandpassion

Players body language is one thing scouts and teams look at Do you throw your hands up Do you smack your stick on the ice Do you slam the gate when you get back to the bench It shows you get frustrated easily Body language counts more than your skill

One of the great pet peeves is watching a player try and skate the puck through all five guys on the other team and turn it over at offensive blueline while his teammates stand there open waiting for a pass. Never understood all that work for nothing. Seems very pointless

Pretty special moment to be apart of this group. ⁦@TheAJHL⁩ ⁦@Calgary_Canucks
