A white guy kills a man with his car. A Native grabs a shield & refuses to leave a protest. First is facing 90 days in jail. The Native is facing 17 years in prison. This is what people are talking about when they say "two different justice systems". How about we start listening.

What she has forgotten to mention is that we are 2nd worse in infant mortality, and in the top 10 for teen pregnancy. We also have no Pre-K education, and turn down money to feed kids in need. We may birth them, but we sure don't take care of them! So, a weird, and sad, flex.
In South Dakota, we’re having babies! We’re the number one state in the country for highest fertility rate because our people have HOPE and want to raise a family here!

I've lived in South Dakota almost 43 years. Didn't always pay attention to state politics. But I've never seen so much time & energy wasted by so many working to exclude an incredibly small percentage of kids who are just looking to survive. Trans kids are kids. Let them be.

Once they build this wall, maybe they can finish up I-29 through Sioux City.

I bought something. Total was $19.04. I gave the clerk a $20. Me: "Here. I also have a nickel" Clerk: "No, this covers it" Me: "But if I gave you $20.05 I wouldn't get so much change" Clerk: "How do you figure?" Me: blank stare Clerk: blank stare Me: left with 96 cents

Nebraska just passed a law allowing mixed drinks to be sold "to go" by bars as long as the cup has a lid. Good for them. But this is nothing new in South Dakota. Small town bars here have been selling "roadies" for years! I don't think it's legal, but it sure as hell happens!

Wait. A woman who cut short unemployment & housing benefits during a pandemic, turned down money to feed hungry kids to make a political point, & offered to send razor wire & guns to the border, shot her perfectly healthy dog? Twice? In a gravel pit? Stunned. Stunned, I tell you!

Today a popular & talented college basketball player in SD said he is taking the rest of the season off to deal with mental health issues. Good for him! Could have said "injury". Instead he is facing it head on & publicly. God bless you on your journey sir! You aren't alone.

A dead man's glasses in his front seat through the hole in the windshield. And he said he hit a deer. Nice police work sheriff. "Here. Take my car home".

Today our SD Attorney General took a plea deal to avoid serving jail time. He hit & killed a man walking in the ditch with his car. Said he thought he hit a deer. Borrowed local sheriff's car to drive home. Victim's glasses were in front seat of his car. How is he still employed?

This is an unannounced protest in Sioux Falls, SD. They are marching on the main street in downtown SF, which is SD's biggest city. Protesting the recent Rooe v Wade decision. Unbelievable turnout. I've been here 44 years & never seen this large of a crowd at a rally of any kind!
    Replying to @AnnieTodd96
The crowd is now moving up Phillips Avenue. And they are in the street.

Odd. Stories about South Dakota not filling teaching jobs, South Dakota being last in teacher pay again, South Dakota not having mask mandates, and South Dakota erasing Native history all on my timeline. None of those could possibly be related, right?

I hope @GovKristiNoem and all of these folks praising what teachers have done will remember to pay them! And I hope you parents finding out how tough home schooling is will vote for people who actually support education, rather than just give lip service, this November! #sdleg
