Just found out that a former coach for the Midland Organization is in need of some prayers. Having some issues with Covid and Pneumonia. Need to lift him up a little bit so he can get back out on the field.

- Congrats to 2019 outfielder Gavin Pitts on his commitment to D1 University of Omaha, Gavin is the epitome of hard and a complete dude, lead the Braves last summer hitting. 387 against big time competition.

- No reason a team made up of guys from Ohio and NKY isn't making a run at WWBA every age group. Too many teams not enough guys willing to come together as one team. The baseball in our region is as talented as any, maybe not as many DUDES, but enough guys to compete.
- Baseball players announcing their offers on twitter, please do not let this be the new norm.
- Braves finish summer 2019 34-8-3 another great summer. Great group of young men who were a joy to coach every single day. Cannot thank you guys enough for letting me be your coach and choosing Midland, and thank you parents for the opportunity. Time to start prepping for fall.

- Tryouts August 12th and 13th at Midland at 1pm. Just some food for thought below.
- Last 5 summers the Midland Braves are 164-68-10. Summer 2019 saw the least losses since I have been the head coach, summer 2016 team finished with 40 wins having the most. Been an incredible 5 summer run.
- It's a good problem when you have to add an addition to the board.
- Things not growing our sport, putting a deadline on kids to make a decision on next summer before another team holds tryouts, we hate colleges timelining our kids so why are summer programs doing it now?
