TX-35 Democratic candidate Maureen Galindo says she will convert ICE detention center in Karnes County into an internment camp for "American Zionists." "It will also be a castration processing center for pedophiles, which will probably be most of the Zionists," she added.

Unfortunately, these folks don't appear familiar with my work. If they were, they'd know I fear no one. I encourage my colleagues in the industry not to fret about these tactics or pursue a new occupation—journalists are needed now more than ever.

San Antonio's anti-pet dumping ordinance, which will fine those caught in the act up to $2,000, passes 10-1 at City Hall. Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones was the sole vote against the proposal. More to come @SAcurrent

Sigh. Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones’ new comms director Carlos de Leon has resigned after less than 72 hours on the job, Jones’ office confirmed Friday. Jones’ Special Assistant Anna San Miguel has also left her position.

You know what folks? Based on this public comment session, I'm not convinced this will pass in November if left up to voters. This is the same city that rejected a one-half cent tax increase that would have financed a 54 mile of light rail system.
