All told, it's been a year and a half of hard work to get to today. We've got so much to share about this project. Let us know what you'd like to hear about! :)
🎉🎉🎉🎉 WE ACTUALLY DID IT! It's done. It works. We did it. Can't believe it! We have it. We have the final type. The @typescript world has quite a fireball headed its way. Over a year of relentless effort by the whole team. Those who know, know (don't say/hint yet if you do!).
your @typescript just got 10 times faster. We sat down with @ahejlsberg to ask questions library authors, power users, tooling makers, and compiler contributors might have.
`array.filter(Boolean)` works! Just merged an hour ago by @danvdk! This is a super super old issue (and one of the motivators for @mattpocockuk's famous ts-reset project). Soooo nice to see this improvement!

I bet it's going to be a _LOT_ more than 10x because the thing that bottlenecks Doom (like 60% of total time spent by the type checker) is serializing the multi-megabyte-type to a string, which I bet is going to be much faster than 10x.
✨What a dream come true!✨ The co-creator of @typescript himself, @ahejlsberg, took some time to look at the Doom project!
We also had a chance to chat about other TypeScript topics more broadly - and that video will go live in a few days!
DREAM. COME. TRUE.🚀
You will remain an inspiration to us all, no matter what any employer does. Sure, it's not always glamorous work but you've somehow manage to blend "treating random people with the utmost respect and positivity" with "tackling the toughest possible problems" for so many years.
If someone in the TypeScript world wants to really drive the point home, a way would be to open checker.ts and checker.go next to each other and show how similar they are. It's uncanny. This was the right move.
