- Jesus said “not one stone” of the Temple would remain (Matt 24:2). The Wailing Wall? It’s not the Temple, but a part of the Roman Antonia Fortress. The real Temple stood elsewhere and was utterly destroyed. What’s mourned today isn’t holy, it’s a Roman wall.
