- Replying to @fishontherun2I asked my ex to push the call button for the nurse when I was in labour because the pain was more than I could take. He said, "Why can't you do it? It's right there." It took me another 10 years to end it.
- $11,130 is what I was quoted today for removal of teeth and replacement with dentures. If we're not allowed to access my husband's super to pay for it, I have to wait at least a year with no front tooth. Dental care in Australia is appallingly expensive.
- Replying to @Ranting_TransMy 8-year-old saw a picture of a recently out trans woman and asked why she looked like a boy. I said that she was born in the wrong body, so her doctors are helping her body match her mind. He said, "I guess she was always a girl, then. Lucky her doctors can fix it." It's easy.
- Replying to @helenMy dad joked about his own death. His internal bleeding was discovered because he got sudden pain when the nurse lowered him onto the commode. He said, "I want everyone to know it was the commode that killed me. My epitaph should say Death by Toilet!" He died 2hrs later.
- Replying to @LilahRPGttI'm pretty sure I remember a whole bunch of us screaming at the cops to do something about the Nazis while the GC crowd cheered them on & allowed them to stand with them. The gaslighting is real.
- Replying to @LilahRPGttAlso, every public pool I've ever been to has had the showers in separate, lockable cubicles. How would she even know if the person using the next shower had an erection?
- One of the best shopping experiences I've ever had was as a self-conscious teenager with big shoulders in the 90s, looking for a dress to make me feel pretty. The trans woman who ran the shop found me things that looked amazing & told me she had the same issue! I felt so seen.
- Also, contrary to what some are, it's not a new thing either. My mum was buying at-home facial hair bleaching kits in the 80s. I shave my upper lip regularly. We have PCOS, which is a lot more common than people realise. Policing womanhood hurts all women.
- Replying to @ElyKreimendahlHubby & I were talking about this today. We're in Australia, so that's just not something we have to worry about here. At my 8-year-old's school, all the classrooms have doors to the outside & huge windows. I told hubby that would be unthinkable in the USA. We're very lucky.
- Replying to @Melmoo80I also get to deal with the crushing guilt that comes with putting my family in such financial difficulties. And the loss of all the body confidence I've gained in the last year. I feel like a hideous burden. To think how different it would be if dental was funded by Medicare.
- Replying to @chaserI haven't voted for the Hottest 100 since the 90s, but I did what I needed to do for my country and voted for Coal Makes Me Cum this year. The right thing is the right thing regardless of how old I am.
